OMNICOMM SYSTEMS, INC. APPOINTS STEPHEN JOHNSON AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Leader in integrated EDC solutions promotes key industry veteran to spearhead operations

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – April 3, 2008 – /MarketWire/ - OmniComm Systems, Inc. (OTC: OMCM.OB), a leader in integrated electronic data capture (EDC) solutions for clinical trials, today announced that Stephen Johnson has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for OmniComm. Mr. Johnson joined the company in September 2006 as Senior Vice President of Business Development and has been promoted to roles of increasing responsibility over the last 18 months as the company has experienced record growth. Mr. Johnson most recently held the position of Executive Vice President of Business Development and Professional Services. In his new role as COO, he will be responsible for sales, marketing, professional services and clinical services and support.

“Steve Johnson has been an integral part of our company’s success. During his relatively brief tenure with OmniComm, contracts have more than doubled, headcount has increased by 122% and the company has experienced exponential growth,” said Cornelis F. Wit, CEO of OmniComm. “We have opened new offices in Bonn, Germany and Tula, Russia to support global clinical trials, we have built dedicated Professional Services and Clinical Services and Support divisions, built a bridge from Oracle Clinical to OmniComm through our OC Connect™ program and we have implemented our extremely successful CRO Preferred Partnership program. Steve has been the defining influence for all of these programs that were developed to provide quality deliverables to our customers. We look forward to benefiting from Steve’s experience and dedication as he leads operations as our new COO.”

Mr. Johnson brings over 14 years of clinical trials experience in sales management and business development to OmniComm. Before joining OmniComm, he was responsible for business development for the Oracle Clinical Applications’ east coast division where he helped increase market share from 25% to 55% in the clinical trials industry. Prior to Oracle, Mr. Johnson spent 2 years at PHT Corporation and 2 years at Clinical Data Solutions, a start up company focusing on solutions for Clinical Trials, where he led the development effort in building a sales force and sales strategy for the applications group. His performance in building a successful sales division was a critical factor during the sale of Clinical Data Solutions to PHT Corporation. His continued success at PHT led to his hiring at Oracle in November 2000. In addition, he spent 4 years at Pfizer Corporation as a top performer in the Pharmaceutical Sales Division and as a consultant to the marketing group for pre-launch activities.

“In today’s competitive landscape, companies are looking to maximize resources and implement efficiencies in the drug development process and they need integrated and enabling solutions,” said Stephen Johnson, COO of OmniComm. “Our company has focused on integrating its First in Functionality™ EDC solution TrialMaster™ with many of the industry’s best in class partners for imaging, IVR and CTMS. I am proud to be working with such a forward thinking team of clinical professionals that is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the industry that we serve and I look forward to my new role as COO.”
