Leading European Contract Research Organization Selects OmniComm to Provide eClinical Solutions for Important Phase III Study
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., August 13, 2009 -- OmniComm
Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: OMCM.OB ), a leader in integrated
electronic data capture (EDC) solutions for clinical trials, today announced that it has been selected by a leading
European based Contract Research Organization (CRO) to provide eClinical solutions for a pivotal Phase III study
in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Phase III clinical studies serve to establish the safety and efficacy of investigational
new drugs, in large patient populations, and are the last step prior to review for approval by the regulatory
authorities, such as FDA and the EMEA . This particular RA study is expected to last 48 months and enroll close to
300 patients in 20 sites located in Europe.
